Uncovered (13): IQ84

This week on Uncovered I am featuring IQ84 by Haruki Murakami. You really have to see this one in person to appreciate its beauty. The image of the woman is on the hardcover and the book jacket has a partially sheer overlay for the title which allows the image to peek through. The book jacket is made of this really nice vellum type paper and feels really nice in your hands. I love the great use of the text incorporated with the photography. The cover just intrigues me and makes me want to read it.

This cover was designed by none other than Chip Kidd, who has designed many covers. His website is currently under construction but you can see more of his covers here. Below is also a video of Chip talking about the design for IQ84.
