July is my birth month!
So to share the love, I will be sending you presents. You! Yes, you.
That is, if you're lucky enough. My birthday is 7/11. That's pretty lucky.
Now, don't try to stake me--I'm not as big a Charlaine Harris fan as all you True Blood folks are. (Blame Anna Paquin, I can't watch anything she's in since she played Rogue in the X-Men movies). But I do think her books are super fun. Did you know she has mystery series aside from the Sookie books? You can click on the covers above to read more about them.
Well, that's what's up for grabs today. You could win the first book in each of Charlaine Harris's series: Sookie Stackhouse, Lily Bard, and Harper Connelly. (If the winner already has one or more of those titles, I can be flexible on which ones you get as long as the $ does not exceed my $21 budget :) The Aurora Teagarden series is also included in the options, I just happen not to have any of those right now.
This contest is open internationally! Click on the bottom of the rafflecopter widget for the rest of the fine print. If the contest reaches 711 entries by the end of the month, I'll draw 2 winners!
There are no mandatory entries, but you have to do at least one to enter. Good luck, and happy birthday to me! Click "Read more"to enter below!
I will admit that I did enjoy reading Dead Until Dark and I'm pretty sure I have the Mass market somewhere but I am interested in her other books!
ReplyDeleteI have read all of the books in The Sookie Stackhouse Mysteries & I have loved them. I watched season 1 of TrueBlood & honestly it ruined the books for me, so I decided not to continue watching the show, so I can still enjoy the books. :)
ReplyDeleteI've read 3 or 4 of the Sookie Books, one of the Aurora Teagarden books and one of the Lily Bard / Shakespeare books.
ReplyDeleteI watch the show too. I think that with everything turned from book to movie or television, you have to separate the two. The series on HBO was "informed by" and filled some of the character slots using the books - but the show should and can stand on it's own.
I haven't! I have been meaning to especially since vampires are my fav paranormal creatures to read about. I know that True Blood is based on this series and have purposefully not watched it yet because I want to read the books first.
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously not a fan of the TV show at all, but I love these books! I'd love to have my own copies actually. Believe it or not we moved once and the post office lost my entire collection of more than 50 books including these. So I've got my fingers crossed! Fantastic giveaway!
ReplyDeleteyes to both questions and love them
ReplyDeleteI love the books so much more than the show, though the first season was good for staying more true. I'm actually reading her latest now :)
