Stacked (48): At Last

Hi everyone! I am writing this post ahead of time on Friday night since I have a pretty busy weekend ahead of me. Tomorrow I will be in Anaheim for WonderCon. I really have no idea what panels I am going to this year and am just going to play it by ear. Anyone else going? Say hi if you see me!

I am hoping to findi some fun things this weekend but, in the meantime, I did get a few books to tide me over this week.

Lord of Secrets by Alyssa Everett - I loved Everett's first novel, A Tryst for Trouble, and hope that this one is just as good. I don't really love the cover model though. Doesn't he look like he's advertising Old Spice or something?

Ten  Reasons to Stay by Sabrina Jeffries - Short story (NetGalley has been putting up a lot of shorts lately) by Sabrina Jeffries. Read one of her books recently and really like it.

Rules Of Entanglement by Gina Maxwell - Lots of romance this week, haha. I had fun reading Gina's last book, Seducing Cinderella, and just got approved for a review copy of her next book via NG.

Lover At Last by JR Ward - OMG I have been waiting for Quinn and Blay's book for so long! The last book in the BDB series was a little bit of a disappointment but I have high hopes for this one. This is a pretty accurate AIM conversation I had with a friend on Tues when I reminded her that the book came out.

Me: Dude, Lover at Last came out today.
Friend: WHAT??? OMG!!!
Me: YUP.
Friend: OMG I have been waiting YEARS for those two to get together. DUDE.
Me: DUDE.

Already about 25% into it and so far so good...

That's my haul for this week. Hit me up with links to your haul post if you have one. And Happy Easter! Eat something pastel colored and pet a bunny. :)

  1. Hope you had fun at Wondercon! I spent the weekend there too. Did you go to any book signings? I only did the City of Bones signing.

Glad you're liking Lover at Last. I stopped reading the BDB books after the 5th book or so but maybe I'll catch up sometime.

And haha yes, Lord of Secrets does have an Old Spice vibe, lol.
    Have a good week, Thuy!

    1. i had a feeling you might have been there, lucy. i only went on saturday and did not go to any signings. i did stop by sarah rees brennan since my friend was going and saw cassie clare at the mg booth. but it was pretty chill and i just played it by ear.

did you stop at phury's book? most fans do not like that one. it wasn't my favorite but def did not stop me from continuing. i think you should pick it up again. :)

hope you're recovering well from wondercon, lucy. it's the comic-con warm up!

  2. Ooh, you went to see Sarah Rees Brennan? I had a panel conflict & couldn't make it. I actually didn't even stop by the MG booth. Gasp!

Yes, I stopped at Phury's book. Good guess! I'll take your advice and give the books another shot sometime.

WC is getting to be more and more like SDCC!
