In My Mailbox (25): Dark Days & WonderCon Edition

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. It gives book bloggers the chance to share what they’ve bought/borrowed/received!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a fabulous Sunday. My mailbox this week is kind of big. I missed last week's IMM because I was out partying it up at WonderCon. I am going to try to do a recap of the event at some point. I did have a lot of fun though and got into some great panels and only bought a few books. This week's haul is courtesy of the Dark Days event that happened a couple of weeks ago (recap here) and WonderCon. I was too lazy to do links this week. Sorry, but please add to your Goodreads if you like these books.

I am finally going to see The Hunger Games tonight and can't wait! What are your Sunday plans?

Borrowed (library)

Once Upon A Scandal by Delilah Marvelle - I've seen Marvell's name around and I am always looking for some good historical romance and figured I'd give this a try.
Fateful by Claudia Gray - I almost bought this at Dark Days but opted for another book of hers instead. So glad I found it at the library.
Between the Sea and the Sky by Jaclyn Dolamore - Another library find. I've been wanting to read this.
Pure by Julianne Baggott - This is a 7 day loan so I better read it fast!
Nine Rules To Break When Romancing A Rake by Sarah MacLean (ebook) - This was and excellent historical romance. Review coming soon.
Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs (ebook) - I love Patricia Briggs and need to catch up on this series before the next Mercy Thompson book comes out.

Bought

World War Z by Max Brooks - Purchased at WonderCon after hearing Max speak. My copy disappeared long ago so I got a new one and had him sign it.
Balthazar by Claudia Gray - This is what I got from Claudia at Dark Days. She even drew me a vampire piggy (don't ask).

Leisl & Po by Lauren Oliver - Another Dark Days purchase. I've been dying to read this one.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline - I saw Ernest's panel at WonderCon and he was great. Got this signed at the Mysterious Galaxy booth.
Angel's Flight by Nalini Singh (ebook) - Read it already and LOVE! Nalini Singh rocks.
Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane (ebook) - I've been wanting to read this series and the first book is on sale for kindle for only $0.99!

For Review (all NetGalley)

The Bro-Magnet by Lauren Baratz-Logsted - I have heard really good things about this one and was approved!
How The Marquess Was Won by Julie Ann Long - More historical romance. :)
How To Ravish A Rake by Vicky Dreiling - There seem to be a lot of rakes running around in Victorian England. Not that I mind.

Won

Hammered & Hexed by Kevin Hearn - I got books 2 and 3 of this series with a purchase at Mysterious Galaxy at WonderCon. A friend of mind really likes it and I am interested in checking it out.
Rainshadow Road & Christmas Eve At Lucky Harbor by Lisa Kleypas - Managed to win this during the Kisses, Corets & Kleypas giveaway hop. Super excited because I love Lisa Kleypas.

I also got a bunch of free comics and some purchased comics at WonderCon. Too lazy to list them all here but hopefully you'll be seeing some reviews for them on the blog soon. I love comics and hope to review more of them. Hope everyone is safe and warm this Sunday afternoon!

  1. Wow, that's a difficult IMM to top. I especially think the Vampire piggy gives this post the edge :-)
Great haul. I've yet to read any of these but most are on my wish/TBR list.

  6. I really hope you like the Alpha and Omega series by Briggs! I'm a huge fan and it's different than Mercy's story. I actually read it before Mercy so it threw me a little when I finally picked up Mercy Thompson!! Fair Game is waiting eagerly for me :)!!!!

And I'm so jealous you're in Cali and have Mysterious Galaxies there!!! UGH!! I miss that store! I used to live in San Diego and I miss Cali (I'm in Michigan, makes sense, huh?) & if you liked Hounded, you'll like Hexed. Hammered was good but I didn't like it as much as the others.

Have a great week and thanks for visiting me!!!
