Uncovered (53): The Night Itself

It's Friday which means it's time for Uncovered, my weekly cover lust post. Thanks for coming by. This week I have a really awesome looking cover to The Night Itself by Zoe Marriott. I can't remember where I first saw this now, but I immediately put it on my cover lust list. Besides being illustration based (I am so predictable), I love how the purple and pink really stand out. I am not sure what the patterns are going around the girl but they remind me of an octopus, one of my favorite sea creatures. Is it weird to say that I also like this girls haircut?  Now let's take a look at the synopsis.

How awesome does this sound? A YA fantasy novel with a katana, gods and monsters, and a fox spirit? Sign me up! Not only does it have a gorgeous cover but it sounds like an awesome book. This one doesn't come out until July 4 but you can bet that I've already got it on my wishlist.

Anyone else think those swirling tendrils look like tentacles?
