Wow, I can't believe that this is the 52nd Uncovered post. That means that I've been doing post for a year. Time really does go by quickly. Today I am featuring This Book Is Full Of Spiders by David Wong. I have been to a couple of bookstores this week and this cover keeps jumping out at me. This is the second book in a series. I had never hear of it but this cover makes me want to read it.
Besides the kind of creepy title, I love that the cover perfectly illustrates the title. I also like that it uses papercraft instead of photography or illustration. The spiders look really three dimensional when you see it in person. They actually do look like they are crawling out of the book. The bright orange color also helps it stand out on the shelves.
What do you guys think? Love it, hate it? Creeped out by spiders? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for visiting!
You'd think spiders would be creepy, but these spiders are cool. Probably because they aren't REAL! I love the *thing* in the middle. What is that? A web? A nest? That's so cool.
ReplyDeleteEven though these are not real spiders, the cover still looks icky to me. It is well designed and eye catching but it took me a minute to even process that they were paper spiders because I was just focused on the actual spider part!
ReplyDeleteI looked it up on GR and the synopsis is pretty funny though! Fab pick, and congrats on a year of Uncovered!
