It's me again, back with Manicure Monday. Feedback to last's week post was pretty positive so I think I'll keep doing this for a little while. Hopefully you guys enjoy this foray into beauty and books.
This week I am reading Prodigy by Marie Lu. I've actually had this ARC since ALA last year but haven't had a chance to read it until now. Marie is going to be at the Breathless Reads Tour at Mrs. Nelson's in about a week. I am attending and am in a mad dash to finish as many books as possible by the tour authors before the event. Haha - we'll see how I do.
On my nails is Butter London's Scuppered, a shade I believe they put out for the holidays last year. This is a really unique shade (and I have many bottles to compare). It's a great bronze foil with tiny green hex glitter. So pretty.
Like Legend, the first book in this series, Prodigy has a really cool feature. The parts from one of the character's POV's is in colored ink. In Legend it was gold. In Prodigy it's blue. Awesome, right?
You just may be inspiring me to get regular manicures. That color is so very cool!
ReplyDeletePretty! I do love manicure Monday and agree with Lee that you're inspiring me to get my nails done.
ReplyDeleteI like the colored text in the Legend series. It's not too distracting for me, in fact I think it makes it more enjoyable.
Can't wait to hear what you think of Prodigy! I still want to call it by it's original title Patriot.
yes, everyone, get manicures! haha. nails are fun for me, but i do them at home. i think i am too picky to let someone else do them.
ReplyDeleteand i do enjoy the colored text in this one. you don't see it too often but it's a nice feature. so far, legend is action packed. i haven't had much time to read this weekend but hope to finish up this week.
I tend to only get manicures once every month or so, but now I want to get mine done more often! And I didn't know that the hardback had the colored ink! I read it on the Kindle. Now I want the paper copy even though I already have the Kindle copy. LOL
ReplyDeleteyes, the first book had gold/yellow ink for certain chapters and this has blue. i prefer the blue. i love my kindle but you do lose something without a physical book.
