Stacked (32): My Library Rocks

Hello again! I can't believe that the weekend is almost over already. Seriously, where did the time go? Work was tough last week and this weekend is a much needed respite. Since I am trying not to spend a ton of money, I have been visiting the the library whenever I get the book itch. Luckily I have a pretty great local library and they get new books constantly. I did buy a couple of things but I don't feel bad about them because I was supporting local businesses. And it totally doesn't feel like December. Has anyone started their Christmas shopping yet?

Library

The Lady Most Likely by Julia Quinn, Eloisa James, Connie Brockway - Really quick read. Review coming soon.
Tiger Lily by Jodi Anderson - I keep seeing rave reviews about this one and was totally shocked to see it in my library this week.
The Shadow Society by Marie Rutkoski - Another great library find. This one sounds like a lot of fun and love that cover.
Unraveling Isobel by Eileen Cook - I don't really know what this one is about but I have heard good things.
The Templeton Twins Have An Idea (ebook) by Ellis Weiner (Author), Jeremy Holmes (Illustrator) - I really need to catch up on my MG reading. This looks super cute and I was happy to snag it on Overdrive this week.
Sweet Shadows (ebook) by Tera Lynn Childs - I really enjoyed the first book in this series, Sweet Venom, and am excited to read the sequel.

Bought

Fairest Vol 1: Wide Awake by Bill Willingham (author), Phil Jimenez (illustrator) - I picked up Vol 1 TPB of Bill Willingham's latest series. I love, love his Fables series and think this spinoff looks awesome. If you love fairy tale re-tellings, you have to read Fables.

Penguin and Pinecone by Salina Yoon - I went to a really cute, fun event this weekend with Salina Yoon (Penguin and Pinecone) and Tao Nyeu (Squid and Octopus). I already had Squid and Octopus so I picked up Penguin and Pinecone. There's nothing cuter than a penguin with a scarf. :)

That's my book haul for this week. Is anyone else enjoying some rainy weather this weekend? Makes me want to curl up with a book and a cookie.

  1. I have a great library also. They have almost all the new releases every week, it's great.

Unraveling Isobel was awesome! Definitely a 5-star read for me. It had something for everyone, as cliche as that is.

    Here is my book haul.
